The Prophet, salla'Llahu 'alayhi wa sallam, said, "Hajj is 'Arafa," so it is evident that the great gathering of the hajji's on the plain of 'Arafa is the core rite of hajj.On the Day of 'Arafa, millions of people from different parts of the world of different ethnicites and speaking different languages assemble in the plane of 'Arafa dressed the same (wearing two un-stitched clothes) with no outward display of social status.

Day of 'Arafa is a preparation for the great congregation which would happen on the Day of Judgement when all people would gather before God stripped of all their worldly distinctions.It is a preparation for the Final Gathering which all of us will inevitably attend on the Last Day.As Almighty Allah said in the Qur'an:On that day, you all shall be presented and no hiding soul shall remain hidden.►{Chapter 69: Al-Hâqqah (The Reality) : Verse 18}

Its a powerful reminder that we should beware of considering our self superior to someone else because of incidental differences like our color , lineage , race , wealth,beauty or social status because here we are like everybody else.Almighty Allah says in the Qur'an:O people! We created you from a male and a female, and (divided) you into (large) peoples and tribes, so that you might recognize one another. Surely the most honourable among you in the sight of Allah is he who fears Allah most. Certainly Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. ►{ Surah Al-Hujurat Chapter 49 : Verse 13}

So, all that we have here is our actions, what we have done with ourselves up to that point, what we have turned ourselves into by what we have done, nothing more and nothing less than what we truly are.

When you see everybody in same condition,it reminds us that we are all poor before God.
